Mockingjay

Mockingjay, the final installment to Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games trilogy, is one heart stopping read. It's all coming to an end for Katniss and Peeta and it's one heck of a fight. With twists around every page and a heart pumping plot, readers will devour this finale. I finished it in twenty four hours. It was an amazing end to an amazing series. Thank you Suzanne Collins for such a wonderful story. Five stars for the trilogy. A must read and a must own for your bookshelf.

Catching Fire

Suzanne Collins captures reader's hearts yet again with the second installment of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The games are over and Katniss and Peeta are home in district twelve again. But President Snow hasn't forgotten about the so called act of rebellion Katniss performed in the games. The districts are on edge and rebellion against the capitol is brewing. Katniss must try to convince the districts that she and Peeta are genuinely in love or President Snow will begin killing everyone she loves.
This book delivered everything expected and more for me. It was extremely well written. I found it difficult to put the book down. Suzanne Collins has captured my attention and has earned a spot on my favorite authors list. Loved every minuted of this read. A must read for all ages.

The Hunger Games

There are not enough words to give this book the praise it deserves. Suzanne Collins has gone above and beyond normal plotting to keep readers on a roller coaster of emotions. I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it. I was amazed with the plot. Never in my wildest imagination could I have thought of such pure brilliance. Below is a description of the book, retrieved from the hunger games official website

"Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone fighting against you?
Twenty-four are forced to enter. Only the winner survives. In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death - televised for all of Panem to see.

Survival is second nature for sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who struggles to feed her mother and younger sister by secretly hunting and gathering beyond the fences of District 12. When Katniss steps in to take the place of her sister in the Hunger Games, she knows it may be her death sentence. If she is to survive, she must weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

WINNING WILL MAKE YOU FAMOUS. LOSING MEANS CERTAIN DEATH."

If you're looking for a book that's different than the everyday normal humdrum you've become accustomed to, this one is for you. Perfect for all adult ages.
